Amazing Grace Outdoor Service

Greetings Church Family,

We are excited and looking forward to our outdoor worship service! Please see below for event details, and housekeeping guidelines.

When: Sunday, June 13, 2021 

Time: 10:00 a.m.

Location: Olney Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church: 4100 Olney-Laytonsville Road, Olney, MD 20832, outdoors

Housekeeping Guidelines 

  • This is a face mask event

  • We will have chairs, if you have your own lawn chairs, please bring them.

  • We are still social distancing and encourage members of the same family to stay within their cluster.

  • We will have access to the basement restrooms. 

    • Parents, please accompany your child when using the facilities. 

  • Please do not wander to the rest of the church.  We do not have access to the main floor, nor its sanctuary.  We are limiting contact with surfaces, as we will need to clean what we use.  Our philosophy, as always, is to leave the areas in better condition than how we found it. Please remember we are guests!

  • We will be offering a simple boxed lunch, take-as-you-go.

Join us at Amazing Grace for our first annual Palm Sunday Bible Challenge!

Rev. Evans and Sis. Stacy will lead their team into Jerusalem; however, only one team will be able to shout Hosanna!

Rules:

  • 20 second time limit to answer each question.

  • Categories are: Sermons, Bible Study, Sunday School, and MLK (Bonus)

  • Questions are worth 1, 2, or 3 points and bonus MLK questions are worth 1 point.

  • Correct answer equals addition and incorrect answer or time expires equals subtraction.

  • There will only be (3) questions available in each category each round for a total of (9) main questions and (3) bonus questions.

    • Bonus questions do not have to be attempted.

  • Unlimited notes and open bible! No Google or other searching without a lifeline.

  • 3 life lines are available to be used by each team.

    • Multiple choice, ask the congregation, use my smart phone

      • These 3 life lines are for the entire game.

      • 30 seconds are added for the life line usage.

  • No electronic devices can be used by anyone on the team unless it is for the lifeline.

  • Team with the highest score after 3 rounds is the winner!

Round 1 & 2

  • Teams will alternate answering questions from the main categories

  • Anyone from the team can pick a question and the entire team can work together on the answer.

  • Bonus questions are optional.

Round 3

  • The opposing team will pick the question and the person that must answer.
