I Am My Brother's Keeper

The Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Ministry offers the opportunity to learn how to safely and skillfully operate a vehicle weighing more than 26,001 pounds in accordance to the rules and regulations established by the Maryland Department of Transportation.

Participants in the class will obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully complete the pretrip inspection, the skills test, and the on-road test; ultimately, participants in the class will obtain their CDL (Class B)!

The class is led by industry professional and truck driving expert Rev. Samuel Evans. The Lord placed the vision and inspiration to conduct this ministry on Rev Sam's heart years ago. Over the years, the ministry has served as a way for him to give back a portion of the many blessings that he has received and as a way for men and women of all ages and ethnicity to have an opportunity to gain employment and provide a decent and honest life for themselves and their family.

Typical CDL training classes cost thousands of dollars! The only cost to participate in the CDL ministry is that for every Saturday CDL class that you attend, you are expected to attend church on Sunday at Amazing Grace. That means if you spend seven Saturday's in class during the process of obtaining your CDL then you should spend seven Sunday's at Amazing Grace. Ultimately, the total vision of the ministry includes participants finding Jesus along the way!
