1 Kings 8:17-24

24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken.

• Despite all that David did and all of the influence in his life, David never turned his heart away from God! (1 Kings 11:1-4)

  • Is your heart in it? Eventually your heart and your actions will align

• Too often in life, we look for the remedy to the effects instead of the cure for the causes. (1 Kings 18:5-6)

  • Ahab was looking for grass to save the cattle instead of Elijah and God to end the drought and save himself!

• Don’t ask God to meet you in your situation, wait for God to call you to met Him at the place that He has prepared! (1 Kings 18:1)
